The Construction Association of South Florida (CASF) hosts an Annual Charity Golf Classic to benefit two local children's charities. Children's Aid Club has worked closely with CASF since 2006 and been the recipient of their generosity. CAC club members organize raffle, silent auction and live auction items for the golf tournament and provide volunteers for the day of the event.
Unfortunately, this year's CASF Golf Classic has been Cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Our major fundraiser is our Valentine's Taste 'n' Tell Lunch held annually. This is a unique event featuring a menu of 5-6 items. Our guests are given a small recipe booklet that "tells" them how to prepare the items. Taste ‘n’ Tell also features a bake sale, a silent auction, a live auction and raffle baskets of goods and services
donated by generous people and companies in the community. 100% of the profits from Taste ‘n’ Tell is put back into the heart of the community.
"WE ARE ALL HEART!!
OUR 2019 TASTE 'N' TELL WAS A GREAT SUCCESS!!
We would like to thank our most generous donors, sponsors, and guests that helped make this year's event such a great success!!
100% of the profits has gone directly back into the community.
Our TNT-2021 No Show Luncheon is currently underway.
Thank you for helping CAC help those children and families most in need right here in our community. We could not do it without your support! Thank you!
During 2019-20 CAC was able to provide "immediate response" to 35 families, which included 77 children . CAC paid rent to avoid eviction, utilities to avoid cut off, car insurance, car repair or gas cards for work
transportation; provided clothing, coats, uniforms, shoes for children in need at various times in the year and
gave food gift certificates to help relieve finances and be sure to have food on the table. During the Covid-19
pandemic we provided financial assistance to many families who had been laid off.
2020 EASTER BASKETS
Our Easter Basket team worked diligently and acted quickly in the anticipation of schools closing due to the Coronavirus outbreak, and we were able to deliver many of our Easter Family care packages early, before distribution and communication became difficult.
We were able to reach 70 families, which included 180 children and 116 adults.
This past Christmas we were able to deliver some holiday happiness to families in our community through the partnerships with our organizations and our generous Holiday Appeal Drive. We reached 95 families, which included 280 children and 189 adults. Extra special care was taken while preparing the gifts for the families.
