The Construction Association of South Florida (CASF) hosts an Annual Charity Golf Classic to benefit two local children's charities. Children's Aid Club has worked closely with CASF since 2006 and been the recipient of their generosity. CAC club members organize raffle, silent auction and live auction items for the golf tournament and provide volunteers for the day of the event.
Unfortunately, last year's CASF Golf Classic was Cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak. We are looking forward to the possibility of working with the Construction Association of South Florida this year if they plan to host another Charity Golf Classic.
Our major fundraiser is our Valentine's Taste 'n' Tell Lunch held annually. This is a unique event featuring a menu of 5-6 items. Our guests are given a small recipe booklet that "tells" them how to prepare the items. Taste ‘n’ Tell also features a bake sale, a silent auction, a live auction and raffle baskets of goods and services
donated by generous people and companies in the community. 100% of the profits from Taste ‘n’ Tell is put back into the heart of the community.
"WE ARE ALL HEART!!
Children's Aid Club like many other nonprofit organizations had to think outside the box to keep our mission going during these unprecedented times. We made many adjustments especially in our fundraising efforts. We had our first Virtual Zoom Event in February. It was a Fun-raising successful experience. More about that soon!!
OUR TNT-2021 "NO SHOW" Luncheon was a Great Success even though we were not able to interact with our guests. Thanks to all our Members, Friends, Families, and Community that have shown us just how important it is to continue the work that we do. We wish we could hug each and every one of you!
OUR 2019 TASTE 'N' TELL WAS A GREAT SUCCESS!!
We would like to thank our most generous donors, sponsors, underwriter’s and guests that helped make this year's event such a great success!!
100% of the profits has gone directly back into the community.
During 2019-20 CAC was able to provide "immediate response" to 35 families, which included 77 children . CAC paid rent to avoid eviction, utilities to avoid cut off, car insurance, car repair or gas cards for work
transportation; provided clothing, coats, uniforms, shoes for children in need at various times in the year and
gave food gift certificates to help relieve finances and be sure to have food on the table. During the Covid-19
pandemic we provided financial assistance to many families who had been laid off.
2021 EASTER BASKETS
Our Easter Basket team is working diligently and safely as we continue to work at a distance and prepare Easter Family care packages.
This Easter are preparing for 95 families reaching 180 adults and 272 children.
This past Christmas we fortunately
were able to make families in crisis have a little brighter season. This happened through the partnerships with other nonprofit organizations we partner with and our generous donors through our Holiday Appeal Drive. We reached 95 families, which included 280 children and 189 adults. Extra special care was taken while preparing the gifts for these families.
